About This Course
Data-driven insight is now the backbone of effective social research in the public service. To craft policies and programmes that resonate with diverse groups of Singaporeans, public officers must be able to harness data to shape and sharpen their communication strategies.
Since 2017, RySense has supported government agencies in their communication studies, particularly in campaign testing and evaluation. We have also trained hundreds of communications officers through our data-driven communications workshops.
Building on that experience, RySense Academy now offers a 2-day training workshop: Practitioner’s Guide to Data-Driven Communications. Led by Expert trainers with years of working with public sector agencies, this workshop dives into the practical tips and strategies that public officers need to design, execute, and evaluate data-informed communication campaigns.

Packed with takeaways! Very informative and useful for my work. Grateful for the industry insights e.g. auditing, selection of vendors, market rates, etc. Thanks too for keeping us well-fed and energised.
- Senior Manager, National Council of Social Service
I found the course useful. Trainers gave useful guidance on visualisation and templates on research briefs, which could be used in our future work. Very engaging and thoughtfully prepared, recommended for officers to attend.
- Researcher, Ministry of National Development
Learned about how to present data, when to do a quantitative vs qualitative study. Useful especially for me, as I am doing a campaign now.
- Senior Comms Manager, Building and Construction Authority
The course was all-rounded and enabled one to be equipped with basic knowledge to start a study and devise a comm plan.
- Head of Planning, Singapore Cancer Society
It’s useful to understand how data is collected and how to make sense of the data. The course provided the necessary key points to data driven comms with interesting hands-on activities. Activities were also stimulating enough to engage participants for learning.
- Researcher, Ministry of National Development
It was a practical course for non-comms public officers. The two-day duration is just about right with a good balance of theory and practical / hands-on application, putting what we have learnt into use. Good job! This should be run more frequently to benefit more officers in P&E roles. This is beyond comms!
- Deputy Director, People’s Association
