About This Course

Government agencies are increasingly relying on survey research to gain insights into citizens’ needs, measure policy effectiveness, and understand public attitudes towards various policy issues.

Designed for individuals with little to no background in survey methods or data analysis, this course equips public officers with essential knowledge of survey design principles and basic data literacy skills needed to explore, interpret, visualise, and communicate survey findings.

Grounded in active learning, this course incorporates relevant datasets, examples, and case studies to help participants derive meaningful insights from survey data and apply them effectively in their work.

Dr Neo is an experienced researcher who has conducted research in both public and academic domains for the past 19 years. Currently, he drives research excellence and development in his role in RySense. Prior to this, he was heading up the Process Audit and Business Partnership departments at RySense. Prior to joining RySense, Dr Neo was a Principal Research Analyst at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). For his work, he was awarded several research awards, and has presented at many international conferences and published many peer-reviewed journals and books.
