The rise of Industry 4.0 – with rapid advances in technology – has boosted workplace productivity but also raised concerns about jobs being replaced by machines. Singapore’s workforce faces significant disruption due to these changes. To help people adapt, government agencies have been investing in skills training, employability, and workforce resilience. Against this backdrop, our researchers conducted a study to understand the psychological factors influencing employees’ training intentions and participation. The findings contribute to workforce development research and offer practical insights for policymakers and organisations.
